Executives at Handtmann A-Punkt Automation have appointed Andreas Leiner as co-managing director alongside Andreas Podiebrad.
Leiner will work in close cooperation with Podiebrad, who has been in his role since 1998, and will focus on production, service, and purchasing, where he has extensive experience.
After studying economics and sinology Leiner held a number of senior management positions in technological organizations and gained international experience. After specializing in managing know-how transfer activities to and from low-cost countries he held several executive functions, including at Siemens, where he was responsible for purchasing departments in Europe and Asia in the sector of infrastructure equipment.
In his most recent role Leiner was authorized representative and vice president focused on purchasing and technical sales for a major international machine building group with approximately 2,000 employees.
