Stans, Switzerland – MachiningCloud and GW Schultz Tool are jointly partnering to provide GWS cutting tool product data on the cloud. GW Schultz Tool is a manufacturer of highly engineered custom, standard, and modified standard carbide cutting tools. GWS is AS9100 certified and specializes in high performance custom carbide end mills, in addition to offering a standard line of tools, custom etching, coatings, and re-grinding services. MachiningCloud is a product data provider for cutting tools, CNC machines, and workholding.
MachiningCloud represents a new channel through which GW Schultz Tool will be able to provide its customers with instant and up-to-date access to their cutting tool data. This partnership will simplify the process of finding the right cutting tools for customers for their manufacturing jobs without the hassle of searching through printed catalogs and multiple websites to find ideal tooling.
GWS customers will be able to increase productivity and achieve greater accuracy by easily downloading descriptive, usage, and geometric information directly into their shop floor software, such as CAM, simulation, and tool management systems.
"Not only will GW Schultz Tool customers be able to find the right cutting tool quickly, but they will also be able to view and download 3D models", says Pierre-Francois Tavard, senior product manager of MachiningCloud.
"We consider ourselves an engineering company that provides tools to other engineers to improve their processes. Further advances in assisting the engineers of the world to be more efficient is the ultimate goal, and MachiningCloud has brought that to our industry and connected the dots to end users. G.W. Schultz Tool is excited to be a part of such technological advances and see extreme value for all parties involved", says Adam Lafferty, director of business development at G.W. Schultz Tool.
