On Dec. 11, 2013, GMN Aerospace by GM Nameplate celebrated the delivery of the company’s 15 millionth Boeing Commercial Aircraft part to the Boeing Supply Chain. Members of the GMN Aerospace manufacturing team presented the part to Boeing Company representatives Kent Fisher, vice president and general manager supplier management; Beth Anderson, vice president rate readiness supplier management; and Alan Wittman, director seat integration/IFE.
"While it's important for GMN to pause to celebrate milestones such as our 15 millionth BAC part, it is even more important that we continue to look to the future as we go to market with new innovations and qualifications, and expand our value proposition within the supply chain," said Paul Michaels, director of GMN Aerospace.
GMN Aerospace took its first order from the Boeing Company in 1960. Over the last year, GMN Aerospace has delivered 1.4 million BAC parts. Currently, GMN Aerospace has a 99.9% quality and 99.7% delivery rating with the aircraft manufacturer.
As a key part of GM Nameplate, GMN Aerospace designs and manufactures interior and exterior mandatory markings, components for passenger service units (PSU), custom plastic injection molded components, aerospace sub-assemblies, and aircraft exterior graphics.
