Four individuals in the aerospace industry were honored Wednesday at the Experimental Aircraft Association’s AirVenture 2013 in Oshkosh, Wis., for their contributions to the aviation sector.
Recipients of the General Aviation Awards were chosen by a panel of professionals from the maintenance, flight instruction, avionics, and flight safety fields.
The winners were: Bill Fifles, of Honolulu, Hawaii, for Aviation Maintenance Technician of the Year; Dean Eichholz, of Soldotna, Alaska, for Certified Flight Instructor of the Year; Bruce Lundquist, of Willis, Mich., Avionics Technician of the Year; and Mark Madden of Anchorage, Alaska, for Federal Aviation Administration Safety Team Representative of the Year.
Recipients received their awards at a presentation hosted by Barry Cooper, administrator at the Federal Aviation Administration’s Great Lakes Region, and Greg Feith, a 20-year veteran of the National Transportation Safety Board.
Executive from Snap-on Industrial also donated a $2,000 gift certificate to the honorees.
