Saint-Cloud, France – Dassault Aviation’s Falcon 8X business jet has received approval from the US Federal Aviation Administration. FAA certification, just after receipt of European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) type certificate, brings the big new trijet’s certification and flight test campaign to a successful conclusion. The Falcon 8X is now preparing for entry-into-service, scheduled for early fourth quarter.
The 6,450nm (11,945km) Falcon 8X will provide the greatest range and longest cabin of any Falcon and the same short-field performance, operating economy, and quietness as the Falcon 7X from which it is derived. It also offers a large selection of standard cabin configurations.
Dassault Falcon is the recognized global brand for Dassault business jets, which are designed, manufactured and supported by Dassault Aviation and Dassault Falcon Jet Corp.
Since the rollout of the first Falcon 20 in 1963, more than 2,400 Falcon jets have been delivered.
