Exotic Metals Forming Co., based in Kent, Wash., will bring a new 150,000ft2 plant to 56 acres of property being purchased from Spokane International Airport.
The aerospace sheet metal fabrication company could employ up to 150 people once the plant, located in Airway Heights, is in operation in mid-2015. A privately held company, Exotic Metals currently has 900 employees.
Exotic Metals Vice President and CEO Doug Gines said it took six years to finalize the deal.
The company will be eligible for a reduction of the state business and occupation tax and a state work training grant, according to a local news source.
Spokane County Commissioner Al French told a reporter the rate of business growth in the region during last three years is greater than any period in the last three decades.
