Embraer Praetor 600 receives EASA, FAA approval

Embraer’s Praetor 600 super-midsize business jet has been granted its type certificate by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The announcement was made during the company’s press conference at the European Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland. Brazil’s Civil Aviation Authority (Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil – ANAC) awarded the aircraft its type certificate on April 18, 2019.

Being certified by the key aviation safety agencies of the world paves the way for the Praetor 600 to begin deliveries in the second quarter, according to Michael Amalfitano, president & CEO, Embraer Executive Jets.

The Praetor 600 debuted at NBAA-BACE in October 2018, becoming the only super-midsize business jet to be certified since 2014. It can fly beyond 4,000nm in long-range cruise speed or beyond 3,700nm at Mach .80 from runways shorter than 4,500ft.

The Praetor 600’s fly-by-wire technology powers Active Turbulence Reduction to make flights smooth and efficient, and its cabin feature a 6ft-tall, flat-floor cabin, stone flooring, a vacuum service lavatory, and 5,800ft cabin altitude.

The Praetor 600 features Collins Aerospace’s latest Pro Line Fusion flight deck with vertical weather display, predictive wind shear radar capability, Embraer Enhanced Vision System (E2VS) with head-up display (HUD), Enhanced Video System (EVS), Inertial Reference System (IRS) and a Synthetic Vision Guidance System (SVGS).
