London, UK – Element Materials Technology continues its commitment to providing exceptional testing services to the aerospace sector with the addition of another Nadcap accreditation to the group, this time for non-destructive testing (NDT) services at its Houston laboratory.
Element Houston is now Nadcap accredited for radiography (RT), ultrasonic inspection (UT), liquid penetrant (LT) and magnetic particle inspection (MT). This is the second Nadcap accreditation for the Houston site which also holds the equivalent accreditation for its materials testing (MTL) activities. Accredited under audit criteria AC7101, the scope of the MTL accreditation includes hydrogen analysis, micro and near surface examinations, impact and temperature tensile testing, and standard specimen machining.

Element Houston is the first and only independent materials testing and inspection laboratory to offer a full suite of accredited methods for NDT in the greater Houston area. This means that we are better able to serve our aerospace sector clients by offering a complete range of testing and inspection services that are approved to the very highest level of excellence, while delivering substantial time and cost reductions for clients who previously had to send their materials out of town to be tested and inspected.”
