Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation’s aerospace facility in Grand Rapids, MI, receives United Technologies Corp. Supplier Gold award for exceptional supplier quality and service.
“Receiving the Supplier Gold award is a real honor for our employees in Grand Rapids and a testament to their commitment to teamwork, quality and customer service,” says Wade White, Grand Rapids plant manager. “Their goal is to deliver world-class products and services for commercial and military applications, and the Supplier Gold award recognizes their success at achieving perfect scores for on-time delivery and defect-free work.”
The UTC Supplier Gold program facilitates and accelerates supplier performance improvements and recognizes suppliers that have achieved exceptional performance ratings over a 12-month period. Eaton’s power and motion control division in Grand Rapids achieved UTC Supplier Gold status throughout 2011 by demonstrating best-in-class quality, on-time delivery, implementation of a lean culture and overall customer satisfaction.
Grand Rapids employees achieved 100% on-time delivery and zero defects for components manufactured for Hamilton Sunstrand and Sikorsky Aircraft. Components include a ram air turbine actuator for the Boeing 777 jetliner; and actuators and related products for a variety of Sikorsky military helicopter platforms, including SH-60B, HH-60,
MH-53 and CH-53E.
