Dependable Machine Inc. event to highlight Mazak

Open house at Hayden, Idaho, technology center is May 10 – 12, 10am – 4pm (PDT).

Florence, Kentucky – Mazak distributor Dependable Machine Inc. (DMI) will host an open house at its new technology center in Hayden, Idaho, May 10 – 12 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (PDT). The event will feature Mazak technologies that simplify part production processes as well as enhance shop floor productivity and versatility.

Featured will be Mazak’s Mazatrol SmoothX CNC. This progressive CNC has an intuitive human/machine interface that puts speed and convenience at the machine operator’s fingertips and offers several functions that enhance the performance of Mazak machines, especially in 5-axis and complex contouring operations.

Event attendees will also experience some of Mazak’s latest advancements in milling, turning, 5-axis, and multi-tasking technologies for job shops and manufacturers in a variety of industries, including aerospace and medical. To demonstrate these technologies, application specialists from Mazak and DMI will run real-world part applications on the machines exhibited.

Manufacturers seeking to increase productivity will want to check out the Mazak Quick Turn Primos 100, a small 2-axis turning center that requires only 55" x 49" of floor space. At the event, this high-speed, high-accuracy and high-torque machine will be paired with a parts catcher to demonstrate how easily it can enhance efficiency through unattended operation.

Also on display will be the Vertical Center Universal (VCU) 500A 5X Vertical Machining Center with a 5-axis rotary/tilt table and Mazatrol SmoothX CNC. This simple but innovative machine brings advanced technology and production value to high-precision small parts processing for a variety of industries.

On the multi-tasking side, the event will spotlight Mazak’s versatile Quick Turn Nexus (QTN) 250-II MSY CNC Turning Center with Multi-Tasking and the advanced Integrex i-150 Multi-Tasking machine. As an MSY configuration, the QTN 250-II MSY features milling and Y-axis capability as well as a second turning spindle for Done In One part processing operations. The machine will be paired with a parts catcher and bar feeder.

DMI will showcase the precision and throughput of the Integrex i-150 via a complex medical component single-setup machining demonstration. The machine will also be equipped with the Mazatrol SmoothX CNC that enhances its functionality, speed, and efficiency.
