The compact, dual-axis azimuth-elevation gimbal mounts from Optimal Engineering Systems Inc. (OES) are for mounting: Cameras, antennas, projectors, lasers, and instrumentation for scanning, tracking, positioning optics, assembly, reverse engineering, laser milling, and drilling, inspection in conjunction with a coordinate measuring machine, pointing cameras, and other similar applications.

The table of the elevation-axis is 150mm (5.9") long by 80mm (3.1") wide with 15 M6 threaded holes for mounting fixtures, lasers, cameras, mirrors, etc. Weighing 4.25kg (9.35 lb) is a suitable tabletop instrument for a research lab.

The standard model of AU150-AE-01 (pictured) is driven by 180:1 ratio worm gears and two-phase stepper motors. The options for azimuth axis motor are: AU150-AE-02, Three-Phase Brushless DC Servo Motor with Quadrature Incremental Encoder, AU150-AE-03, Brushed DC Servo Motor with Quadrature Incremental Encoder, and the AU150-AE-04, Stepper Motor with quadrature encoder for position verification. Both axes have HOME switch for initialization after power up.

The elevation axis is capable of 360 degrees continuous rotation.

The AU150-AE Series of Azimuth-Elevation Gimbal Mounts can be ordered as complete plug-and-play systems with multi-axis controller, joystick, trackball, or keypad.
