China Military Online reports that J-15 fighters of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) have successfully accomplished takeoff and landing tests with maximum gross weight on China's first aircraft carrier, "Liaoning," at sea on Sept. 15, 2013.
For the first time, the J-15 carrier-borne fighters operated from the aircraft carrier with different takeoff gross weight and multiple types of weapons under complex weather conditions, making takeoffs and landings in high frequencies and short intervals.
The compatibility between the aircraft carrier and the carrier-borne fighters has been further verified, according to the report.
