CGTech will at SAMPE in Seattle, Washington demonstrating VERICUT Composite Programming (VCP) and VERICUT Composite Simulation (VCS), May 23-25, 2017 in Booth C17. More and more leading composite manufacturers are making VERICUT Composites Applications a standard for post processing and simulation, guaranteeing success on the shop floor by verification through real machine code simulation.
“Industry-leading software, VERICUT Composites Applications for programming and simulation, helps users refine composite part designs, optimize feed rate, and avoid costly errors and collisions. Tight integration between CAD software ensures valuable design data is carried through the project,” says Charles Anderton, CGTech composites product specialist. “VERICUT Composites Applications has proven to be a machine-independent software solution time after time by successful partnerships with machine vendors. CGTech brings its industry knowledge, expertise, and experience to every customer’s implementation.”
During the show, the VERICUT Composites Team will demonstrate programming and simulation of automated fiber placement and tape-laying machinery from machine tool builders such as, Electroimpact, MTorres, Accudyne, Fives, AFPT, BA Composites and others using VERICUT Composite Programming (VCP), and VERICUT Composite Simulation (VCS). On May 25, 2017, attendees will have the chance to sit in on an insightful presentation titled, “Roadmap to Automated Composites Manufacturing,” led by Charles Anderton.
While seeing the latest technology advancements during SAMPE, visitors to CGTech’s booth will be able to see firsthand a thorough overview of the steps needed to take a CAD designed composite part, to CNC programs that drive an Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) or Automated Tape Laying (ATL) machine. During their demonstration, they will highlight the implementation and use of machine independent off-line NC programming software for AFP and ATL machines, such as the work being done at NASA's Langley Research Center using a 16-tow Electroimpact automated fiber placement machine. Current customer projects to be highlighted include extensive use of robots, lasers, probing, and ultrasonic knifes.
In addition to VERICUT Composites Applications, the CGTech team will show off the latest version of VERICUT software. VERICUT is CNC machine simulation, verification and optimization software that enables users to eliminate the process of manually proving-out NC programs. VERICUT simulates all types of CNC machining, including drilling and trimming of composite parts, water jet, riveting, robotics, mill/turn and parallel kinematics. VERICUT runs standalone, but can also be integrated with leading CAM systems.
