Wixom, Michigan – BLM Group, a manufacturer of tube processing equipment, has introduced the BC80, a smaller, automated machine for cut-to-length, chamfering, facing, boring, and threading of tube and bar.
The new technology is the next generation of integrated CNC end machining centers from BLM Group and is designed for 24-hour production, processing tube up to 3.15" (80mm) dia. and lengths from 0.4" to 13" (10mm to 350mm). The unit is suitable for high-volume bushing production.
The BC80 offers automated operation with chip removal and scrap handling managed separately. All tube changeover adjustments are handled from a single location. The bundle loader can be filled without interrupting production and is available in different lengths to a maximum of 40ft (12.5m). Its pendant-mounted operator console saves floor space and can be pivoted for operator efficiency.
The BC80's large access doors allow quick access for changing saw blades and tooling or for routine maintenance. The control is designed with menu guides for programming part dimension, material type, tooling, and processing steps.
