BAE Systems is laying off 300 people in the United States, with about 200 of the cuts coming in Southern New Hampshire.
According to the New Hampshire Union Leader, the company says affected employees will be notified March 4.
Other terminations will happen in Wayne, NJ; Greenlawn and Endicott, NY; Manassas, VA; and Austin, TX, according to the Union Leader.
A company official says the cuts are necessary in response to the overall economic climate in for its industry.
BAE Systems is New Hampshire’s largest manufacturing employer.
