Astrodyne Holding Corp. (Astrodyne TDI) has been acquired by Tinicum LP and affiliated funds managed by Tinicum Inc. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Astrodyne TDI designs and manufactures power supplies and electromagnetic interference (EMI) filters for use in industrial, semiconductor capital equipment, medical, defense, aerospace, and other end markets. With more than 50 years of power supply design experience, Astrodyne TDI has engineering and manufacturing centers in the USA and China.
“Tinicum’s ownership will enable us to expand our company’s resources globally and accelerate the development of new products, allowing us to better serve the needs of our customers,” said Astrodyne TDI CEO Jeff Beck.

Tinicum is a private investment firm with more than 25 years of experience investing in private and public companies.
