Charlotte, North Carolina – Continuing to expand its sales resources to best reach potential customers, Alphacam has added a new pre-sales applications engineer to its Alphacam sales team.
Zack Wooten, a CNC programmer with a background in automotive and aerospace manufacturing, recently joined the Alphacam team in its United States office, based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Wooten spent eight years working as a CNC programmer for a wide variety of machine tools and materials. In college, he studied machine-tool technology, computer programming, and engineering graphics.
“It all started with adding a few simple variables into a Fanuc control,” says Wooten of his career in manufacturing. “It wasn’t long before I discovered the power of automation at the CAD/CAM level.”
Wooten’s skill-set provides an ideal environment for API and VBA automation, along with post processor development. His practical knowledge will be of benefit to Alphacam users who seek to maximize their machinery and software.
Part of the Vero Software Group, Alphacam is a CAM solution for 2-axis through 5-axis NC programming applications.
