Collegeville, Pennsylvania – Allied Wire & Cable is now an AS9100 certified wire and cable distributor and manufacturer. AS9100 is similar to the ISO9001 certification, but supplements those requirements with additional aerospace industry quality system requirements. These additional requirements satisfy DOD, NASA, and FAA quality demands.
Due to increased demand, Allied acquired the AS9100 certification to better serve Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 customers in the aerospace and defense industries. AWC was already ISO9001 certified but decided to upgrade to AS9100 to provide a higher-caliber quality management system.
The sales team has been provided with additional tools and techniques to communicate and document customer requirements, which ensures quality and on-time delivery. Neil Saunderson, QMS manager, says, “Allied is proud of the work we have done to earn this certification. We look forward to providing our unique brand of customer service to new clients, and will continue to meet and exceed the expectations of our current customers.”
AWC recently hired Ron Holmes and Jonathan Aristizabal from A.E. Petsche to help support its aerospace customers. Ron and Jonathan have extensive experience in the aerospace industry, and look forward to taking Allied’s excellent customer service reputation to new heights.
Allied Wire & Cable is a family owned and operated specialty manufacturer and distributor of wire and cable with more than 25 years of experience. Allied serves all major global markets, including government and military, as well as the aerospace, automotive, and telecommunications industries.
