Airbus recognizes best-in-class supplier performance

Hamburg, Germany – Airbus has awarded seven suppliers for outstanding work covering industrial performance, innovation, and customer support. The awards were made by Klaus Richter, chief procurement officer for Airbus Group & Airbus at Airbus’ annual Global Suppliers conference awards ceremony in Hamburg, Germany.

Suppliers were selected on their ability to deliver pragmatic and innovative solutions to the highest quality levels and full customer satisfaction.

2016 awarded suppliers are:

Industrial performance
Crane Aerospace & Electronics, Aernnova, and DHL were awarded Best Performer for top level industrial performance, on-time delivery with a focus on quality, a culture of continuous improvement, and strong business ethics. 

Innovation
Honeywell was awarded for the introduction of a flight safety weather application, which provides weather updates before and during flight. Aequs (SEZ) was awarded for the development of an innovative business model which provides full manufacturing capability on production sites. Accenture was awarded for cutting edge wearable technology, designed to optimize manufacturing processes and accelerate time to market.
