Sandvik Coromant officials announce that the company will be holding a “Good Vibrations” event on June 6, 2013. As part of the Smart Event series, dedicated to helping you think smart, work smart, and earn smart, this customer event will be held at the Sandvik Coromant Productivity Center in Fair Lawn from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with doors opening at 8:00 a.m. for coffee and a light breakfast.
“This Smart Event addresses long-reach machining operations and the need to remove chatter from applications with long tool assemblies,” says Brent Godfrey, industry and application specialist for Sandvik Coromant. “Chatter creates poor surface finishes, and also results in reduced cutting data and lower productivity.”
Attendees will learn to achieve cutting data for long tool overhangs matching that of tools less than half their length. Live machining demonstrations, including turning, milling, and both rough and fine boring operations, will be featured, as will knowledgeable speakers. One-on-one consultation with Yellow Coat specialists in will provide direct access to a wealth of experience and know-how. In addition, attendees will be able to network, enjoy lunch, and walk through an open house.
