Pratt & Whitney Signs 5-Year Agreement with PRA

Pratt & Whitney Canada SEA has signed a five-year Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul agreement with Pacific Royale Airways.

Pacific Royale Airways has recently begun operations with a 10-aircraft fleet. The PW127B engines which power half of its fleet, five Fokker 50 (High Performance) aircraft, will be covered under the MRO agreement with P&WC SEA. The new airline will serve the Indonesian market where air travel among the nation's islands is in demand.

"We understand our customers' businesses and work to make them successful," says Maria Valerio, Vice President, Operations, Customer Service, P&WC. "Through this long-term MRO agreement, we provide Pacific Royale Airlines with peace of mind knowing their PW127B engines will be maintained at OEM-level standards. It allows our customer to put all their energy into building their new business."

"We see our airline as having a pioneering spirit and we will be the first airline to put some Indonesian locations on the airline map," says Samudra Sukardi, President & CEO, Pacific Royale Airways. "So it's important for us to be able to focus our attention on building our operations, while leaving the MRO requirements of our Fokker 50 aircraft to the engine experts."
