The 460-acre facility for commercial aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) located within the Pinal Air Park in Marana, Arizona will be officially renamed and relaunched at a special on-site event on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from 1pm to 3pm. Formerly Evergreen Maintenance Center Inc., the facility was acquired by Relativity Capital LLC in May 2011. At the event, the company’s newly appointed CEO, Hal Heule, and members of its Board of Directors will reveal the company’s new name, logo, uniforms and website to more than 300 employees, elected officials, dignitaries, and invited members of the press.
Located just northwest of Tucson, for more than thirty years, the facility has been regarded as the largest of its kind in the world, and is one of the only ones that offers maintenance, repair, painting, storage and end-of-life services for passenger and cargo aircraft all in one convenient location.
Highly trained technicians provide FAA-certified service for the industry’s most advanced aircraft, including Boeing, Airbus, and McDonnell Douglas. The 6,850ft runway is suitable for takeoff and landing of all aircraft types, including large commercial and military aircraft. The maintenance center has ramp and storage capacity to accommodate 400 aircraft, as well as over 350,000ft2 of repair shops for avionics, components servicing, interior configuration, testing and inspections. The facility is one of the few in the nation to be recognized as a fully-approved FAA Part 145 Repair Station with a FAA Class IV Airframe Rating.
According to Heule, “With our planned growth and significant investments in the latest training, tools and technology for our employees, we intend to expand our global customer base and build on our extensive range of service offerings across heavy maintenance, overhaul, repair and storage that will ensure the facility’s continuing tradition of excellence to our worldwide customers.”
