AIAC Begins Phase Two Tour

National and local benefits to be highlighted by industry leaders in second leg of tour.

Tomorrow, the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC) will embark on the second phase of its seven-city national tour aimed to better inform Canadians of the benefits of the sector, including high-paying and high-quality jobs that add considerable value to the national and local economies.

The first phase of the tour took place last month and included speaking engagements as well as stakeholder meetings in Calgary, Winnipeg, Vancouver and Montreal.

"The first part of the tour has been successful in drawing awareness to the significance of the aerospace industry to Canadians," says Dr. Claude Lajeunesse, CEO of the AIAC. "As the national association representing Canada's aerospace manufacturing and services sector, the AIAC seeks to ensure that Canada maintains its standing as a world leader in aerospace."

As part of the tour's second phase, AIAC members will meet with key opinion leaders and stakeholders in Halifax and Toronto culminating in an event that will be held in Ottawa.
