"We made it a goal to grow the Spirit account when we first started working with them in 2010. Our first big win came in July. We’ve worked hard to prove our capabilities to Spirit over the past couple of years and they have recognized those efforts by doubling our business year over year," said Clark Hurrell, vice president, business development at Herndon.
For the past several years, Herndon has been providing supply chain solutions to Spirit on an as-needed basis.
Under the new contract, Herndon has already begun shipping products to Spirit. “Our job is to manage the supply chain in a way that maximizes material availability but does not exceed agreed-to inventory levels," Hurrell says. “We added a module to our computer system that will help us generate sales orders without having them manually entered.”
