The figures came this week from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics.
“For generations, manufacturing has been a vital driver of Missouri’s economy, and modern manufacturing companies have offered opportunities for outstanding careers to folks across our state,” Nixon says in a written statement.
Nixon discussed the numbers during a visit to Tech Manufacturing, an aerospace parts manufacturer in Wright City. The company’s work force has grown by 22% since 2008, currently at 67.
