WinWare, Inc, a provider of solutions for managing indirect material, was awarded U.S. patent number 7,669,765 B2 on March 2, 2010. The patent reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation and
validates the RFID technology used in the CribMaster system to accurately manage tooling, spare parts, or any indirect material in any RFID environment.
The WinWare patent covers the RFID switch which provides the ability to tag and monitor every item in the system
regardless of its size. The RFID switch allows small tools such as allen wrenches, sockets, and even apex bits greater tracking visibility. The CribMaster software, the leading inventory management application for indirect materials in manufacturing and productive environment, tracks the inventory in real time. The system provides critical data as to what is missing, who took it, when and where it is being used. This greatly reduces the risk for lost or misplaced tools in tightly controlled environments.
“We are pleased by this recognition from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for the design of our RFID switching device, states Larry Harper, WinWare president. WinWare has invested a great deal of time and effort in developing a solution to accurately track any size item using the RFID technology. We have been and continue to be dedicated to driving innovation in the inventory management arena. This award, as well as other awards from distinguished organizations, represents the continued recognition of our efforts and is gratefully received.”
