Miller, Weldcraft to Showcase at AeroDef

Miller, Weldcraft will Showcase Precision TIG Welding Solutions at booth #1272 during AeroDef Manufacturing Exposition and Conference

Miller Electric Mfg. Co. and Weldcraft will showcase new TIG welding products, TIG torches and accessories, and safety gear at the AeroDef Manufacturing Exposition and Conference, Anaheim, Calif., April 5 – 8, 2011, in booth 1272. There, the companies will present new and specialized equipment designed to provide precision solutions and improve quality on critical applications in the aerospace manufacturing and defense industries.

Of special interest among Miller products are:
• Dynasty 350 AC/DC TIG Runner System: This system is ideal for the aerospace and defense industry, offering precision and stability down to 2 amps for excellent results on thin materials, yet delivers enough power to weld up to 3/4-inch aluminum.  Advanced arc controls improve weld quality and increase productivity.  Our innovative, efficient designs reduce power installation and operating costs while being more compact so they weigh less and take up less space than traditional TIG power sources

• Wireless Remote Controls:  Both hand and foot controls have an industry exclusive design featuring a direct connect to the 14-pin receptacle on the power source. Wireless technology improves productivity and safety by eliminating tripping hazards, clutter and cord tangles in the work area, eliminating cord failure and associated downtime/repair costs, and extending the operator’s welding range without adding cord extensions.

• Arc Armor Welding Protection: New welding safety apparel includes the Titanium Series of industrial welding helmets, which feature excellent low-amperage TIG performance (5 amps), and WeldX line of welding safety apparel with industry exclusive material that protects like leather at less than half the weight.

Weldcraft will feature:
• WP-225 Modular Flex-Neck Torch Package: The water-cooled package includes interchangeable components that customize a single TIG torch into multiple configurations. The package offers the flexibility to weld on multiple joints and difficult-to-reach areas, while also reducing inventory for additional torches and downtime associated with torch changeover.

• Triad Tungsten Grinder: The grinder offers easy, accurate tungsten preparation for orbital welding, automated and hand-held TIG welding applications, accommodates six different electrode sizes and offers four grinding angles. Its grinding, cutting and facing capabilities provide a 3-in-1 tool to reduce costs. The grinder can also be bench-mounted using an included machine holder.

• Weldcraft Tungsten Electrodes: The tungsten electrodes provide the quality necessary for critical and precise performance. The pure, 2 percent thoriated, 2 percent ceriated, 1.5 percent lanthanated and rare earth premium tungsten electrodes are available in seven-inch, industry-standard lengths and five diameters (.040, 1/16, 3/32, 1/8 and 5/32 inch).
