Sikorsky Aerospace Services has announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Job Performance Associates, Inc. for the development of interactive multimedia training products linked to Sikorsky technical publications. Sikorsky Aerospace Services (SAS) is the aftermarket division of Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp.
Based on specific training needs identified by SAS, JPA will create and provide a library of web-based learning videos. These powerful, interactive multimedia tools – known as Job Performance Aids – provide "visual learning" unlike traditional printed and electronic training publications. The user is able to see step-by-step demonstrations of procedures, thereby facilitating quick, easy learning and information retention. By streamlining efficiencies, this visual training technology aligns with Sikorsky's efforts to reduce direct operational costs for its customers.
