The Stratford, Conn.-based company said it has agreed to provide global supply chain support and certain production restart services to Albuquerque, N.M.-based Eclipse to help it restart production of its Eclipse 500 jet.
The Eclipse 500 is a twin-engine light jet that has been compared to an SUV of the sky. Eclipse Aerospace purchased bankrupt aircraft manufacturer Eclipse Aviation last August and reopened for business with 15 employees a month later. The new company has been opening maintenance centers to keep up support for 260 Eclipse 500 jets.
