Sargent Aerospace & Defense, a leading supplier of engineered components and aftermarket services, and an operating company within Dover Corporation’s Industrial Products Segment, has announced a strategic realignment to better support the company’s expanding global customer base.
“The company-wide realignment and unified Sargent Aerospace & Defense branding will enable better integration of our product and services portfolio, as well as a more coordinated market approach,” said Scott Still, president, Sargent Aerospace & Defense. “We also believe this move will increase efficiency, accommodate our planned program growth, and facilitate new development activity.”
To achieve this, Sargent’s organizational structure has been consolidated into two main business units: one to supply original equipment manufacturers, and the other to provide aftermarket products and services.
The OEM business unit supplies highly engineered components used in civil and military aircraft and rotorcraft, submarines and land vehicles. Sargent’s OEM capabilities include the design and manufacturing of hydraulic and pneumatic components; Kahr bearings; Airtomic rings, seals and alignment joints; Sonic fasteners; and other products produced in its facilities in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The aftermarket business unit offers a broad portfolio of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, combined with the integrity and systematic approach of an established OEM. Thanks to ongoing investment and modern facilities in Miami, Florida and Franklin, Indiana, each certified by American, European and Chinese aviation authorities, Sargent is able to repair thousands of components, offer inventory and asset management solutions, and provide a rotable pool of components, LRUs, and high-value systems.
