Elbit Systems of America, LLC., announced that M7 Aerospace LP (“M7 Aerospace”), has entered into an agreement for Shorts aircraft parts distribution with ACL Aviation Support Ltd (ACLAS), the exclusive worldwide distributer for the Shorts series of aircraft. The agreement with ACLAS will enable M7 Aerospace to distribute spare parts to all of its customers in North, Central and South America.
ACLAS will provide M7 Aerospace with a large inventory of consumable, rotable and airframe structural spares for the Shorts C-23, C-23B, SD3-30 & SD3-60 series and all variants of these aircraft. This agreement will enable faster delivery, higher levels of customer service, reduced downtime and reduced transportation cost for Shorts aircraft operators in the Americas.
M7 Aerospace will incorporate the Shorts inventory into its existing and mature parts distribution system, allowing for a sound platform to provide product support of the Shorts aircraft, for its owners, operators and service providers in the Americas. The Shorts spare parts inventory will be warehoused and distributed from M7 Aerospace’s headquarters located at the International Airport in San Antonio, Texas.
M7 Aerospace has provided the Life Cycle Contract Support (LCCS) services for the Army’s fleet of the Shorts C-23 around the world for more than five years. This accumulation of experience and familiarity with the Shorts aircraft translates into an additional benefit M7 Aerospace will bring to its Shorts customers in the commercial aviation community.
Elbit Systems of America, President and CEO, Raanan Horowitz stated, “We are pleased to enter this partnership with ACLAS. Our experience with Shorts aircraft and expertise in Life Cycle Support will enable enhanced capabilities and growth for both companies and a long rewarding relationship.”
