Cimcool Industrial Products LLC, has acquired the Starchem, Inc. metalworking fluids business. Starchem is a metalworking and lubricant supplier headquartered in Mason, Ohio with distributors located throughout the US and licensees in Europe. The acquisition continues to expand Cimcool’s global network of metalworking fluid businesses.
“As a world leader in metalworking fluid innovation, Cimcool’s commitment is to provide its customers with the best technology, service and value anywhere in the world. This acquisition reaffirms that commitment and sends a clear message to the marketplace that we’re growing, preparing for the future and well positioned to be the supplier of choice for our expanding global customer base, “said Robert McKee, President of Cimcool Industrial Products.
With its focus on providing technology solutions to customers, Starchem complements Cimcool’s business and integrates well into its business model. Cimcool will continue to offer the full line of Starchem products to customers. And customer value will be enhanced through the addition of Cimcool’s technical services, sales force and manufacturing operations.
An asset purchase transaction, the acquisition also enables Cimcool to assume Starchem’s global license agreements.
“We look forward to working with our new Starchem licensees and metalworking customers throughout the world. The acquisition provides new opportunities by increasing the reach of our business while enhancing the value we can deliver to both Cimcool and Starchem customers,” said McKee.
