Bombardier Aerospace today announced that it has delivered its first Challenger 605 and Global 5000 jets to customers based in Argentina on April 1 and April 20, 2010, respectively.
“With the largest product portfolio in the industry, Bombardier is ideally positioned to offer our customers the best travel solutions to fulfill their needs,” said Fabio Rebello, Regional Vice President, Sales, Latin America, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “Our Challenger 605 and Global 5000 jets offer the perfect combination of range and cabin comfort for transcontinental and transatlantic flights, a growing requirement in Latin America,” he added.
The Challenger 605 jet, and the very successful Challenger 600 Series aircraft from which it is derived, contribute to Bombardier’s position as the leader in the large aircraft segment of the Latin American market with a share of more than 50 per cent. Bombardier also leads the super large aircraft segment for deliveries in this region due to the growing presence of its Global 5000 aircraft.
In service since January 2007, the Challenger 605 jet builds on the legacy of quality and reliability of its predecessor, the acclaimed Challenger 604 jet, leading its market share segment throughout the world. The Challenger 605 jet can whisk five passengers from Buenos Aires to Dakar and Buenos Aires to San Juan (Puerto Rico) non-stop* in superior comfort. It features the widest stand-up cabin of any large category business jet available today. The Bombardier Enhanced Vision System (BEVS) is offered as optional equipment on the Challenger 605 jet.
