BAE Systems plans to acquire OASYS Technology, a firm that designs and manufactures electro-optical systems and subassemblies for aerospace, defence, industrial and commercial markets.
OASYS Technology will complement BAE Systems' existing electro-optical capabilities, technologies and product offerings.
Once the deal is closed, OASYS's operations are expected to be integrated with BAE Systems' business headquartered in Nashua, New Hampshire, in the US.
OASYS Technology CEO Mike Couture said that the company would be better positioned to serve its current customer base and broaden both the market and potential applications for its expertise, technologies and products.
