Parker Aerospace and Porvair Sign Agreement

Porvair Filtration Group Ltd has signed a long term agreement with Parker Aerospace to provide filtration systems for Parker's on-board aircraft fuel tank inerting systems.

Parker's lightweight system removes oxygen from a source of engine bleed air with an air separation module (ASM), before delivering nitrogen-enriched air into the aircraft fuel tanks. These ASM modules are particularly sensitive to contamination and are protected by Porvair's filtration system. The implementation of fuel tank inerting has been the subject of global legislation driven by increased safety and reduced the risk of fuel tank flammability. Systems supplied by Parker are incorporated into passenger aircraft such as those manufactured by Boeing and Airbus.

Tom Liddell, Managing Director of Porvair Filtration Group stated 'this agreement is the successful result of many years of investment in the development of the inerting solution. We are delighted to be working with Parker on existing and future projects.'

Parker Aerospace Fluid Systems Division Business Unit Manager of Fuel and Inerting Scott Pearson commented, "Our alignment with Porvair as supplier of this critical filtration equipment is a testament to their technical capability and delivery performance to date. Their products ensure our inerting systems remain at the forefront of the technology."

The agreement secures sales to Porvair that are expected to exceed $40M over 10 years.
