In a continued bid to address evolving market demands, Singapore Technologies Aerospace announced the creation of ST Aerospace Rotables, a wholly-owned subsidiary.
Focusing on rotable assets leasing, asset trading, rotables loan and exchange as well as support to its Maintenance-by-the-Hour program, STAR will be headquartered in Singapore and operate marketing offices in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.
ST Aerospace Mobile, another wholly-owned subsidiary, employs about 1,500 at Brookley Aeroplex, where it maintains and overhauls large airplanes. It was not immediately clear if today's announcement will directly impact local operations.
Rotables are traditionally components that can be repeatedly restored to fully serviceable condition in a cost-effective manner. The formation of STAR is intended to help ST Aerospace offer more comprehensive support to its customers as the aerospace sector grows and expands.
