Derby was already the site of the Pattonair Group Head Office but now, with major extensions to the site’s office and warehouse facilities, it will also be the central hub for all of the company’s European operations. Equipped to the very highest standards throughout, the European Hub is a truly state-of-the-art logistics complex.
With Anthony Byrne, Derby City Council’s Investment and Development Manager, present together with representatives from Robinsons, the site’s owners, and the contractors, Davlyn, the opening ceremony commenced at with a welcome to guests and some opening remarks from Brian Long, Pattonair’s Group Operations Director. The facility was then officially opened by Wayne Hollinshead, Pattonair’s CEO.
Speaking of the new premises, Mr Hollinshead commented: “Pattonair’s presence in Derby goes back to 1999 when we moved here because we wanted to enhance the level of service we could provide for one of our key customers. The decision to expand our present site to create a European Hub is based on that same desire to excel in customer service. The new facility will enable us to deliver ever greater operational efficiencies for all of our customers across Europe.”
Robert Crawford, Pattonair’s Head of Facilities, adds: “Seeing this project come to fruition has been a highly rewarding experience which wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and dedication of everyone involved. I’d like to take the opportunity to thank them all.”
