You Ji and Absolute Machine Tools Opens a New Factory.

“The 40-plus distributors of Absolute Machine Tools’ product line of CNC lathes and machining centers are still talking about how much they learned after visiting several of Absolute’s principal OEM builders in Taiwan this past spring,” says Steve Ortner, President of Absolute Machine Tools Inc. One of the highlights was touring You Ji Machine’s brand new factory in Kaohsiung City. The new modern facility is 188,370ft². The new plant features a robust electronic infrastructure, manufacturing and assembly areas equipped with new hoisting mechanisms and an advanced climate control system, a contemporary design and engineering department, modern office area, spacious customer demonstration room, and a well-appointed training center with high definition presentation equipment. Further, the top floor includes six efficiency apartments. You Ji provides housing, maid, and culinary service for customers and distributors to stay on site if they wish for ease and comfort. Managing Director of You Ji, Cheng-Jen Wang led the group on a factory tour and provided gracious hospitality.

“One of the most impressive aspects to the trip was seeing a very large 8 meter VTL being built,” says Ortner, “the You Ji VTHS-7000. This amazing machine weighs 365 tons. The table diameter is 275.5" with a maximum swing of 354" and a maximum turning diameter of 334.6".”
