European Aeronautic, Defence & Space Co. is expected to hire more than 5,000 new employees to support increasing orders for its jetliners and helicopters, increasing the total number of employess to more than 140,000.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Thierry Baril, human resources head for both EADS and Airbus says, “It’s not just engineers. Given the growth in production we’ll be hiring in all categories, including shop-floor workers, technicians and people who work on the supply chain and procurement.”
