Boeing's weekly update includes an order from Air China for five of Boeing's largest jet, the passenger version of the new 747-8.
Air China originally announced this order for the jumbo jet in March last year, but the sale was not firm until the Chinese government formally approved it. That step was finally taken this week.
The order is worth $1.8 billion at list prices. However, according to market pricing data provided by aircraft valuation firm Avitas, the estimated purchase price after typical discounts is about $840 million.
