(AP) The 787 deliveries were double the number Boeing delivered in the second quarter. It's building the planes both in Everett, WA, and at a new line in North Charleston, SC. It is also delivering previously built planes that needed to be reworked. Boeing has delivered a total of 23 of the planes so far this year.
Other deliveries included 102 of its workhorse 737, eight revamped 747-8s, 20 of its large, long-haul 777s and seven 767s.
On the defense side Boeing delivered 10 new Apache attack helicopters, 18 Chinook cargo helicopters, and 12 F-18 fighter-bomber jets.
Also Thursday, Boeing officials annouce that unidentified customers had placed orders for 22 737s, one 777, and three 787s. It also lost orders for 12 737s.
