Carpentersville, Illinois – Acme Industrial Co., a subsidiary of Jergens Inc., has received AS9100C certification, the 2009 revision of a widely-adopted quality management system for the aviation, space, and defense industries. The AS9100C designation incorporates the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 plus additional requirements for aerospace industry suppliers.
“Acme Industrial is very pleased to meet the stringent documented systems requirements of AS9100C for controlling our product development and production processes,” stated Joe Liautaud, quality manager of Acme Industrial. “Our aerospace customers are increasingly asking for this higher level of certification and we have responded to their needs.”
The new AS9100C certification is applicable to the following products manufactured by the Acme Industrial Co.: keylocking threaded inserts and studs, threaded fasteners, drill bushings, and machined components. In addition to AS9100C and ISO 9001:2008 certification, Acme Industrial maintains Qualified Suppliers List for Manufacturers (QSLM) approval for its Class 3 and Class 2 Threaded Fasteners.
