Diversified manufacturer TriMas is acquiring RSA Engineered Products, a producer of air ducting products for aerospace and defense applications. The transaction is expected to close during Q1 2020, at which time RSA will become part of TriMas’ Aerospace segment.
TriMas President and CEO Thomas Amato said, “RSA increases our position in the defense and business jet markets, as well as adds to our aerospace and defense aftermarket capabilities.”
RSA manufactures highly engineered components, including air ducting products, connectors, flexible joints, ozone converters, and machined assemblies used in aerospace and defense engine bleed air, anti-icing, and environmental control systems. RSA’s one facility in Simi Valley, California – with approximately 100 employees – has engineering, testing, and manufacturing capabilities.
RSA Engineered Products is a portfolio company of Merit Capital Partners and Cornerstone Capital Holdings.
Bloomfield Hills, Michigan-based TriMas is a global manufacturer of products for consumer products, aerospace, and industrial end markets, with approximately 3,400 employees in 11 countries. TriMas’ aerospace business includes Monogram Aerospace Fasteners, Allfast Fastening Systems, and Mac Fasteners brands of fastener solutions for composite and metallic aircraft structural applications. Major product lines include customer-qualified blind bolts, solid and blind rivets, temporary fasteners, collars, and standard fasteners.
