Tooling U, a Cleveland, OH-based online training company specializing in manufacturing, has created a mobile training platform. This platform, TU Mobile, will allow users to access the company's training website from anywhere in the world.
By introducing a new mobile training platform, Tooling U intends to increase usability and portability of training. Users will be able to access real-time training information even if they are not near a computer. According to Chad Schron, vice president of Tooling U, "This feature is especially important as managers are out of the office more and more. A successful training program requires constant monitoring and mentoring. Tooling U customers no longer need to put training on hold while out of the office."
Tooling U's new mobile platform offers many features from their main training site. From a mobile device, a student can take a class, enter and save notes, and complete tests. Administrators responsible for managing a training program can track student reports and administer student schedules while out of the office. Data is tracked as if the student were taking a class from a computer.
TU Mobile can be accessed using the URL toolingu.com/mobile. The platform is compatible with all Blackberry, Apple IPhone and Windows mobile devices.
