JAN/FEB 2020 winner:
Nathan Buchanan, Tooling/Electrode Design Engineer, Graphel Corp., West Chester, Ohio
How long have you been in the aerospace business? 23 years
How did you become interested in aircraft? I have had a slight obsession with aircraft and aircraft engines since I was a toddler. Something about how a man-made object can fly in the air and at such great speeds just blows my mind.
What is your favorite aircraft and why? The PBY-5 Catalina. There’s something about that high-sitting wing and the engines that just makes it a great-looking plane.
Runners-up
Nicholas Mohr, Operations Engineering Manager, Gulfstream Aerospace Corp., Savannah, Georgia
William Ress, Owner High Sierra Microwave, Camino, California
