Wear-resistant inserts

RESPECTIVE COMPANIES
WEP10C cermet grade indexable inserts with MP4 medium machining geometry feature a wear-resistant, fine-grained, thermally conductive cermet substrate with a nickel/cobalt binder. The substrate doubles tool life compared to carbide thanks to its PVD TiCN/TiAlN coating. TiCN resists crater wear while TiAlN resists flank wear.
The MP4 geometry is a universal geometry for medium machining applications in steel and cast iron (ISO P and K materials groups). A secondary application is stainless steel (ISO M material group). Its straight cutting edge makes it suitable for boring and step boring applications. Recommended machining parameters are from 0.003" to 0.014" (0.08mm to 0.35mm) for the feed rate (f) and 0.016" to 0.138" (0.4mm to 3.5mm) for the cutting depth (ap).
With positive rake chip breaker angles of 7° and 12° and an 18° second step, the geometry helps reduce vibrations when turning and is effective at aggressive chip breaking. It’s also effective for finishing with continuous and slightly interrupted cuts. Combined with the WEP10C cermet grade, the MP4 geometry is designed with a specific hone imparting a high-quality, shiny surface finish. The combination is effective when machining outer or internal diameters requiring high dimensional accuracy over a long period of time.

Accessories for quick- release ball lock pins

Quick-release ball lock pins are available with accessories for a variety of applications. Flanged receptacles provide a permanent, proper mating hole in applications and materials where the pin has nothing to lock against. Because the pin doesn’t protrude from the bottom of the receptacles, they’re well-suited for blind-hole applications. The stainless-steel receptacles, available in diamond, oblong, rectangle, and round shapes with threaded options, can be mounted with screws, rivets, or bolts. They’re designed for use with pin diameter sizes from 3/16" to 1/2" (5mm to 12mm).
End caps fit over the ends of the quick-release ball lock pins for applications where the receiving hole isn’t within tolerance or is out of round. The caps can replace cotter pins and hitch pins to allow the user to take advantage of quick change and fieldwork, without tools. The stainless-steel caps are available for use with pin diameter sizes from 3/16" to 5/8" (5mm to 16mm) and come in plain end and tapped end versions.
Wire rope lanyard assemblies are used to attach quick-release pins to a fixture or frame to prevent the pins from being misplaced when not in use. They’re made from 7x7 stainless-steel wire and are available uncovered (bare cable) or covered. The lanyards come in loop, loop eyelet, tear drop, and rectangular ends in diameters of 1/16" and 3/64" with lengths from 6" to 12". The vinyl covered lanyards come in clear, black, or green.

Extra-large precision measurement solution

The Ultra-Series precision measurement solution features an extra-large field of view (FOV), a high-resolution camera, and advanced image processing capabilities. An intuitive user interface streamlines measurement workflows, while its compact, durable design makes it well suited for shop floor use.
Real-time data collection and automated reporting enhance traceability, and upgraded optics and processing ensure precise measurements down to 5µm (0.0002") accuracy. The ultra-fast non-contact measurement instantly captures and analyzes multiple dimensions simultaneously. With a 40% larger FOV than previous releases (4.5" x 3.7"), as well as digital zoom, the Ultra-Series enables manufacturers to measure larger parts and achieve faster inspections without sacrificing accuracy.
The Ultra-Series is well-suited for medium size turned cylindrical parts and other applications in a variety of industries. It can also be integrated for robotic automation in high-speed manufacturing applications.
