Surf finisher for mass finishing

Surf finishing is the most intensive type of mass finishing and is particularly suitable for high-quality, complex-shaped workpieces that can be clamped. The Surf-Finisher replaces laborious manual work and is an alternative to brush or belt sanding or polishing equipment due to its high process stability. Several size finishers offer bowl sizes of 850mm to 1,780mm and for spindle-equipped models, four to six spindles.

Workpieces are attached to a clamping device – to processing spindles or a robot – and immersed in the container filled with finishing media. Rotating the work bowl or the parts on the fixture creates the relative movement between the part and the finishing media. This way, grinding, deburring, polishing, or edge rounding is performed on the part based on the type of finishing media used. Finishing media specially developed for this intensive processing ensure high-quality and economical processing of the workpieces.

Model RSF 700 has a work bowl diameter of 850mm, installed electrical load of 12kW, and overall dimensions of 2.9m x 2.0m x 2.4m.
