Throughout this first year of publication, Aerospace Manufacturing and Design (AMD) has received many accolades for being the first and only trade magazine to serve the design and manufacturing sector of the aerospace industry. However, the best compliment we have received is observing other publications trying to duplicate our efforts to serve this industry. Without realizing it, this new competition has established AMD as the leader. Furthermore, it has proven to be the catalyst for inspiring our entire staff to work even harder to keep AMD in the number one position.
So, as we look forward to providing you with up-to-date information on the latest developments in materials, manufacturing processes, and design principals for the machining and assembly of aerospace components in 2008, we are pleased to present you with AMD's first Buyer's Guide. I believe that as an aircraft manufacturer or supplier, you will find this buyer's guide a handy reference tool throughout the coming year.
Over and over, our staff has heard from manufacturers involved in aerospace technology that they have nowhere to turn to investigate new processes or to find the latest technologies for refining their manufacturing techniques. They are in need of contacts that can quickly help resolve current manufacturing issues as well as prepare R&D projects for production. This AMD Buyer's Guide is designed to rectify that situation.
No doubt, many, if not all, manufacturing magazines produce an annual buyer's guide. What makes this one stand out among the rest is simple: the companies listed on these pages are truly involved in aerospace manufacturing and design. These companies understand the importance of the aerospace industry to the overall manufacturing sector. This equates to producing better quality components while driving costs down for all manufacturers involved in the aerospace industry.
Now aerospace manufacturers will find the right supplier with the ability to understand and solve processing problems right at their fingertips. No aerospace manufacturing problem is too big or too small that it can't be resolved by contacting one of the companies listed in this buyer's guide.
Please let me know if you find value with this buyer's guide. Even more importantly, I would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions on how we can further improve it to provide even more benefit to you, our readers.
I can be reached via email (tgrasson@gie.net).
Last but certainly not least, the entire Aerospace Manufacturing and Design staff wishes you a very happy holiday season.
