Our second webinar on 3D printing features Alissa Wild, Senior AM Research Engineer with Stratasys, and Kim Choate, Mass Transportation Marketing Director with SABIC’s Innovative Plastics. They will discuss advanced technical compounds developed for 3D-printing objects for aerospace applications.
 
Eric Brothers, Editor of Aerospace Manufacturing & Design, will lead this webinar and ask questions about specific applications and properties for these advanced materials. Following, there will be a question-and-answer format for attendees.
 
Alissa Wild is a senior additive manufacturing research engineer for the Vertical Solutions Business Unit within Stratasys Inc. and provides technical expertise related to advanced uses of fused deposition modeling (FDM) material development and application use. Her work with Stratasys started in the Materials Development Department, creating new advanced materials for FDM systems. Before working at Stratasys, Alissa held positions with Honeywell Aerospace, The Bergquist Co., and Hysitron. Her expertise is in the development and analysis of functional composites and thermoplastic materials.
 
Kim Choate is market director for mass transportation for SABIC’s Innovative Plastics business, a global supplier of engineering thermoplastics and a wholly owned subsidiary of Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC). Prior to his current role, Choate served as the global product director for Ultem resin and Lexan copolymers with responsibility for products, marketing, and plant utilization. Early in his career, Choate lead the research and development team responsible for portfolio additions in the Cycoloy, Valox, and specialty blends product lines. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biology from Delta State University and a Ph.D. in polymer science from the University of Southern Mississippi.
