Beaver Aerospace & Defense Inc., Livonia, Mich., a subsidiary of Phillips Service Industries (PSI) and designer and manufacturer of custom ball screws and broad-range actuation technologies, has two new contracts with Parker Aerospace, a business segment of Parker Hannifin Corp. and designer, manufacturer, and service provider of flight control systems and other aerospace systems and components.
According to the contracts, Beaver will supply horizontal stabilizer ball screw assemblies for the Bombardier Global 7000 and Bombardier Global 8000 ultra-long-range jets. Beaver will utilize high-strength stainless steel for the ball screw and ball nut to minimize corrosion as an alternative to chrome plating.
